FROM THE LITERATURE
A.J. Wright, M.L.S. This listing will appear in a future issue of the Bulletin of Anesthesia History. Note: In general, I have not examined articles that do not include a notation for the number of references, illustrations, etc. I do examine most books and book chapters. Books can be listed in this column more than once as new reviews appear. Older articles are included as I work through a large backlog of materials. Some listings are not directly related to anesthesia, pain or critical care but concern individuals important in the history of the specialty [i.e., Harvey Cushing]. Non-English articles are so indicated. Columns for the past several years are available in the "Anesthesia History Files" at http://www.anes.uab.edu/aneshist/aneshist.htm as "Recent Articles on Anesthesia History." Books *Fink BR, ed.
